Two good friends from the Danish latex and rainwear community, Heavyrubber & Mademoiselle, tied the latex knot last month.The kinky couple exchanged their vows in a local church, in full latex outfits, together with family and non-kinky friends, who all wore regular clothing.Last weekend the newly-weds held a latex-after-wetting for fifteen of their latex friends. There were three single guys and six couples from both Denmark and Germany. The guests have been treated with delicious welcome drinks, a great warm buffet and, of course with a fantastic wedding cake and sparkling wine. The night offered both play possibilities and a lots of talking.Heavyrubber & Mademoiselle wrote in their Danish blog that they had a fantastic after-wedding and enjoyed every moment of it. They send their thanks to everybody who has been there, supported them and of course a big thanks for all the nice presents they received.I hope that the sweet couple will have many years together in latex! Congratulations Heavyrubber & Mademoiselle!

Check out the May issue of the UK based contemporary art magazine Frieze. (Sorry, we’re a month behind with UK mag shipments in the US.) Gracing the cover is a still of a mysterious and beautiful hooded woman from one of the films of Charles Atlas. He is known for featuring arty and underground fabulous people like Leigh Bowery and Merce Cunningham in his films. Great cover!
"Helmut Newton used [Polaroids] intensively starting in the 1970s, especially for his fashion photo shoots. As he once described in an interview, this satisfied his impatient urge to want to know immediately how a certain situation would look as a photograph. In this context, the Polaroid acted as an idea sketch in addition to testing the actual lighting situation and image composition. In 1992 Newton published 'Pola Woman', an unconventional book consisting only of his Polaroids. According to the photographer, the publication lay particularly close to his heart, although it was discussed amidst great controversy. In response to the accusation that the images in the book were not perfect enough, he countered: “But that was exactly what was exciting – the spontaneity, the speed.”" Helmut Newton, Focus Magazine, Milan 1997 © Helmut Newton Estate http://www.photography-now.com/institutions/veran_I7365683.html Permalink | Leave a comment »

SB Archer has added a photo to the pool:I was asked today, as I am on many days, what I like to photograph. I said I like to photograph what I am seeing in front of me now, which is not a great answer. Great photographers, I think, have a discernible point of view, in the same way a chef's culinary point of view is discernible across dishes. My answer to the question then, is always, weak, because I bounce around. The tag line for this blog speaks to the journey I am on from my head to my heart. Maybe it is the left brain to the right. These pictures are mostly images of found things that I make in the attempt to find me. My brain ranges over wide country. It is curious. It likes what it likes. As I do the writing, I find that each image finds its way to common pathways that eventually lead to something that is not my brain, and is maybe my soul, my core, my heart, my self. As I said in the last post, all the pictures are of me.www.bendlight.me
~~~gary~~~ has added a photo to the pool:Here we are again... Last week was a photoshop piece, so this week we have my arse! But not just me with not a lot on this week, two very lovely ladies too that I think you will agree are a little easier on the eye!But anyway, the shots not about that. It's a story, one thats been done a million times before but it just had to be done. Luckily I have such good friends willing to help me out yet again with my twisted visions.This, like my sink shot from week 13 reminds me of those funny greetings cards you get... I would love to do a series of simlar kind of shots... Not sure these guys would be so willing! Let me know if you think this stuff is funny & I'll think up some shots to do one day!I had to use a Nikon camera for this! Oh wait... no, I don't give two shits about the Nikon/Canon argument, both are great bits of kit if you know how to use them. Get over it!I used the Nikon as I got hold of a 10mm lens that was a Nikon mount, I didn't realise quite how much distortion I would get, not just round the edge but quite far in to the centre. I look twisted in a lot of shots, Laura's head is being sucked in to the top left corner of the frame too. Don't think I'll be in any rush to get one!We took a load of shots, I think we could of gone all night and we wouldn't of got a single one where we all had the right expressions or at least one of us wasn't laughing! This is made up of 4 different shots. I always feel bad taking up these guys time with my stupid... often perverse photo ideas but I would like to think we all have a good time doing them and certainly gives us some stories to reminise about!!! Don't think any of us will forget week 17 in the waterfall...Sorry I think these bits are getting longer!!! Thanks for reading, appreciate it.Comments, constructive criticism and Faves appreciated, if your going to blog this one please just ask permission! I'll more than likely say yes, just nice to know where it's being used… thanks for checking out my 52, add me as a contact to keep up to date!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~-Nikon D40x-Sigma 10-20mm @ 10mm-1/100-f9.0-iso:100~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Strobist info: 1 x Elinchrom D-lite4 behind camera, high pointing down(ish).1 x Elinchrom D-lite4 in door way pointing in room.
