Well despite the insufferable closeness and relentless sweat that is the rubber-wearer’s lot in high summer, we’re still having big fun here in London. July saw Club Rub’s Mystical Magical Wonderland at the Lightbox in Vauxhall will the widest variety of costumes at a fetish party I’ve seen for a while: everything from the Duke of Wellington to what I can only describe as Where the Wilds Things Are meets a grassy swamp, plus a myriad of be-winged nymphet-fairies.Other Club Rub highlights included an exotic dance show featuring latex chaps and girls on leads; plus a popular old school Wet T-shirt competition and pictured left is the winner Lisa Carradus. Frankly: everyone there was a winner.I really enjoyed cooling off outside and welcomed the club’s excellent garden which at times seemed to turn into a club night of its own.
